Montessori Tenets - Grace and Courtesy
Simply put, grace and courtesy is all about helping children to understand polite social norms. Grace and courtesy starts with intentional modeling. At LBS, we see students greeting one another with good morning and hello, holding the doors open for each other, thanking the person who is holding the door and taking their hats off when appropriate. Taking turns and sharing happens all throughout the day. Even the way we set up our placemat for lunch shows our grace and courtesy.
Traffic Safety – please use the crosswalk
This week we have had feedback from our bus drivers over the concern from jaywalking, crossing the street in front of busses. Please use the crosswalks to help keep everyone safe. Thank you for extending grace and courtesy to our busy roads and sidewalks.

If you have specific information about your child, please connect with your child’s teacher in a more private setting than our open house.
