November 21st Update
This was a full and engaging week of learning at LBS. Classes have spent time exploring the TREX Art Exhibit in the Learning Commons. Students are finding connections to science, social studies, and writing through sensory exploration. Grades 1-4 students explored TelusSpark this week. Thank you to all of the volunteers who supported this day of learning.

The last week of December we will be carolling in the gym. We invite parents who are interested to come and sing along with us. Due to the size of our gym, we are allocating certain days to grade teams. Space is limited.
Wednesday, December 17 8:30: AM Kinder and grade 3-4 parents
Thursday, December 18 8:30: grade 1-2 parents
Friday, December 19 8:30: PM Kinder and grade 5-6 parents
Please note: this is not a performance, this an opportunity sing with us. Students will be gearing up for a special Spring Event performance of April 23rd.
School Development Plan and Results Report
We are happy to share our reports with you. They are posted on the website at this link. We share many updates at School Council meetings to inform on the progress of our school goals. As we begin year two of our plan we continue the focus on increasing the achievement in writing and fostering a sense of connection and growth mindset in students.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Please log into your PowerSchool account to book your parent teacher conferences. The system will close for bookings on Wednesday at midnight. Conferences are Thursday and Friday.

School pictures are ready!
Your child’s school pictures are now available! To view them online, please log in to your account at mylifetouch.ca. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using your email address. You’ll need your student’s ID number to locate their photos. Important: If you don’t know your student’s ID number, please do not contact the school. Paper proofs containing your login credentials will be sent to your home shortly, allowing you to view the images online. Bonus: All families can also order a FREE digital Pictures2Protect Card—a great way to keep your child’s photo and emergency info handy. Learn more about the Pictures2Protect program here.
