As we close the chapter on another wonderful year at Lake Bonavista School, we look back on the stories we’ve lived, shared, and created together. Our school-wide theme of Story carried us through the seasons, each one adding its own magic to our learning journey.

In the fall, we explored the roots of Montessori education and the story of who we are as learners. Winter brought warmth through connection as we listened and learned with a winter celebration, deepening our understanding of community and belonging. Spring invited us outdoors to walk our neighbourhood, to discover, and to play as we danced and learned with Elder Shirley. We experienced the awe of watching chicks, ducklings, and a gosling hatch and grow before our eyes. In every season, we found joy in celebration, in curiosity, and in each other. This year, we witnessed your independence, creativity, and compassion shine through in so many ways.

Maria Montessori said, “The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind.” This year your voices, questions, stories, and growth reminded us of the bright future you are creating; one filled with kindness, wonder, and possibility.

Thank you for being an important part of our story this year.
