February 6th Update

This week we hosted our own Winter Olympic opening ceremonies. We were thrilled to have 2018 Winter Olympic athlete Alysia Rissling speak to students. A bobsled athlete, she told us about her journey to the Olympics and the perseverance to achieve her goals. We are learning about the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. Having a growth mindset allows us to see mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow. Alysia inspired us to think “Challenge Accepted”!

We continue our Family Literacy Day challenge.  Students are working at home on the Go for the Gold page. If students have items or photos to share, they can bring them to the office and we will add to our bulletin board.

On February 26th he will be presenting to students. On February 26th at 6:30pm he will be sharing a special presentation “The Gift of Reading” to our parents. Please RSVP using this form so we can prepare.
