December 5th Update
We are entering our final week of exploring the TREX art exhibit called Reimagining Fire. Students have taken the opportunity to explore these incredible art pieces and make reflections and connections to curriculum. We look forward to our next exhibit arriving in the spring.
This week has been a unique week at school with the office undergoing renovations. We expect to be moved back on Monday with all phone lines working again. Thank you for your patience.
Today we are saying goodbye to our MRU student teachers. They’ve had a great practicum experience at our school and we have loved working alongside them.
Connection
This year our focus as a school has been around CONNECTION. In the next couple of weeks, classes will be working with their buddy classes to make connection cards for people in our community. This is a Montessori way to demonstrate gratitude and a lesson in cosmic education in the way we impact others.
Winter Toys and Playing in the Snow
Please keep winter toys at home. Our lunch team supplies a variety of play equipment for outside time. Students should not bring snowball makers or shovels to school. As we enjoy the snow and all the fun that it creates for us, we remind students that the snow belongs to everyone, we build and we don’t destroy, and snow stays on the ground. We can have fun building and creating together.
