December 12^th Update 

This week, each class had a time with Mrs. Watson and Ms. Rooke to have a lesson on connection. We learned that people have and feel a connection when they: feel heard and seen, have things in common and have regular interactions. Ask your child about the book The Invisible String and what connection at LBS means. 

Lost and Found 

Oh what a difference a label makes. Thank you for taking the time to label outdoor jackets, mittens, hats and boots. When labelled items show up in the lost and found they are quickly returned to their owner. 

Right now our lost and found is overflowing on two large tables. Teachers will be walking their classes by the tables over the next few days. All unclaimed items will be donated on December 19^th. 

Holiday Spirit Week 

Monday, December 15: Ready, Set Glow Dress up and show off your holiday bling (hair accessories, hats, etc) 

Tuesday, December 16: Getting Grinchy Dress up in green or your grinchy items. 

Wednesday, December 17: Candy Cane Lane Wear red and white (stripes too if you like) 

Thursday, December 18: Things are Going to Get Jolly Rock your winter or holiday sweater. 

Friday, December 19: Plushy PJs Wear your cozy pajamas. 

Carolling 

Please note: due to the size of our gym, if you are coming to carol with us, please only come on the dates that correlate with your child’s grade. 

Wednesday, December 17 8:30am: AM Kinder and grade 3-4 parents  

Thursday, December 18 8:30am: grade 1-2 parents 

Friday, December 19 8:30am: PM Kinder and grade 5-6 parents 

Please note: this is not a performance, this an opportunity sing with us.  Students will be gearing up for a special Spring Event performance of April 23^rd.

Thank you to all parents who supported our winter flower fundraiser. A big thanks to our fundraising coordinator for all the organization! 

Casino – Mark your calendars. June 22-23, 2026 will the Lake Bonavista School Improvement Society Casino fundraiser. This is an incredibly important fundraiser for the school. We will need many volunteers to make this a success.
