Thank you to School Council for generously supporting the virtual presentation of Calgary Opera’s Beauty and the Beast. For many students, it was the first opportunity to experience an opera. We all enjoyed the uniqueness of hearing this fairy tale through the opera format.

For March, we continue to focus on how we develop practical life skills. One of our goals it to take care of our belongings. The lost and found will be set up until spring break, after which, any remaining items will be discarded or donated. We encourage students to care for their belongings by labeling their items, remembering to bring their items in from recess breaks, and putting their belongings properly in their coat hook areas.

We have an exciting partnership with University of Calgary nursing department. We have 9 student nurses completing their community nursing practicum at our school. On Tuesday, March 12, they will be presenting at our School Council meeting on RESILIENCY. We invite all parents to join us for council meeting to hear their presentation and gain access to a toolbox of resources they will share from the lens of community health.
